2025年11月26日，香港宏福苑发生大火， 致168人死亡，是香港逾半世纪以来最惨烈的火灾，但至今仍未有高级官员问责。 24岁的香港中文大学学生关靖丰不甘民间声音被压缩，在大火翌日到现场派发"四大诉求"传单。他要求成立独立调查委员会彻查真相、确保妥善安置、审视工程监管制度，以及全力问责。 关靖丰说，他想为宏福居民发声，同时想试一下，在国安时代下，"讲民生议题还可不可以？"他很快得到答案。28日，香港国安处以涉嫌煽动将他拘捕。 获准保释后，中文大学对其展开纪律聆讯，两个月后开除其学籍，社会一片譁然。 过去，香港大学生参与社会事务的历史深厚，当中中文大学以开放自由的风气、浓厚的人文精神受到称颂。但在后《国安法》时代，大学"保护伞"失效，学生参与校政或社运，越来越多面临政府和学校当局的双重夹击。 关靖丰被开除学籍，距离三月取得毕业证书仅剩一个月。他认为，校方的决定与自己被捕有直接关系。 根据关向BBC中文提供的电邮，中大纪律委员会因为其被捕而召开聆讯，仅因资料不足没有对他处分。但委员会改指关"态度粗鲁无礼"，以及"极有可能"外泄聆讯消息，记过两次。连同过去累积，决定开除他。 消息传出后，有校友发起联署及公开信，要求校方撤回决定。有人对比过去中大校长的态度，比如前校长高锟。 1993年，时任校长高锟在中大开放日上发言，被学生冲上台抗议、抢走麦克风，但高锟认为学生"有表达意见的自由"，并无处分学生。 冯家强是1999年中大联合书院学生会会长，在学期间积极参与社会事务，曾经被捕。他记得，当时校方对学生均持"关心态度"，提供医疗或法律支援，"不是一开始就将你放到纪律委员会"。 2009年任中大新亚书院学生会社会干事的田方泽也表示，2007年保卫天星码头运动后，激起一众年青人关心社会。当年大学生无论就社政出声明、呼吁同学出席"六四"周年晚会，校方也完全不会干预。 一直到2019年反修例运动，中大成为校园"战场"，及后港区国安法通过，"校长受到很大来自政府或者建制的压力"。 深处政治风眼的大学，与学生自治组织"割席"、"清洗"校园。2021年，中大校方指学生会新上任内阁"朔夜"言论涉违国安法，停止代其收会费、限制其使用校内场地。最终"朔夜"总辞，学生会解散。 同年12月，中大移走放置校园11年的"民主女神像"。 田方泽说，以前校方虽然未必同意学生参与社会事务，"但是它会由得你（随你去），而现在则是会阻止你。" BBC中文曾向中大查询，校方对学生参与公共事务的态度，以及有否为相关学生提供法律支援或指引。校方仅回覆："学生作出任何违犯大学规则或条例的行为，一律按大学既定纪律程序处理。" 关靖丰在2020年入读政治与行政学系。他说，从来不期望学校会保护学生 -- -- 自被捕一刻，他已有被开除学籍的准备。 他不是第一次被中大处分。2022年1月大学面授课堂复常，校方要求学生递交疫苗证明。关靖丰觉得做法侵犯人身自由，不服从，因此无法选科，被迫停学一学期。 同年6月4日纪念"八九民运"周年，他在街道灯柱张贴"真嘢唔怕讲"贴纸。最后刑事损坏罪罪成，中大对他记过，再罚停学一学期。 四年的课程，关靖丰读了五年半。他记得这次被踢出校，有人批评他："读不到书都不是什么好东西！"但关靖丰说，正是这段时间，他发现社会仍有许多发力的空间。 他参加在囚支援平台，见过很多年纪比自己小，却因社会运动入狱的人。他被困在很重的"幸存者内疚"（survivor guilt），"我会经常想⋯⋯为何不是我坐牢？"他尝试为内疚找出口，于是到街上贴贴纸。 被捕一度他的内疚得到释放。他在求情时说："只要克服恐惧，没有东西是不能说的"。 关靖丰觉得，大学生比起其他人有"特权"：有知识 、有能力工作，还有四年的空闲时间，所以更要为社会付出。他于是在校外开廦路径，试探空间。 大火当晚，关靖丰到现场帮忙分配物资，看见市民自发的力量。他想做第一人，给大家试试"讲诉求"还有多少可能性。 被捕后，很多人为他感到心疼，也有人说他在"送头（牺牲）"。关靖丰认同，但是觉得值得 -- -- 送头没有带来改变，"但是⋯⋯你也只能试试看呀。" 不过校园内，关靖丰明显感受到，这些年间学校及社会的巨变给学生带来无力感。他比喻大学就像森林起了雾。2021年后入学的人，学生会等什么都没有了，"看到的只有雾，只能够很细步地向前走。" 今年23岁的Kenny就是在雾里的人。他在2022年入读政治与行政学系，他说选择这科系，除了出于学术兴趣，也是令自己的思想"不要消退下去"。 他选择坚守校园这个阵地，试着寻找能做的事。"后国安法时代，很多事都是未知：有什么能讲、什么不能讲.
